Applications for Recommender Grants (RGTC) are now being accepted!
Modern Times Stage Company is pleased to announce that 2023-24 applications are now open for our Ontario Arts Council (OAC) Recommender Grants For Theatre Creators (RGTC). RGTC is the primary way through which Modern Times supports and connects with creators new to the company. Creators from our priority area of activity are strongly encouraged to apply to us – deadline is Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 1pm ET.
Modern Times Stage Company creates original Canadian art, reimagines classic work, and adapts plays in different languages and contexts to bring holistic and innovative forms to our contemporary and diverse Toronto audiences. The company’s most recent projects include No Save Points produced with Outside the March, created and performed by Sebastien Heins, Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo in a co-production with Crow’s Theatre, directed by Modern Times Artistic Director Rouvan Silogix, and a co-production of Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba with Aluna Theatre, directed by Soheil Parsa.
