The Daughters of Sheherzad Conceived, written & directed by

"magnetic physical performers, an upsetting yet enthralling narrative... a
powerful piece of feminist theatre..."
Now Magazine
The setting is an otherworldly asylum. Five incarcerated women find solace
through acting out stories they find written on the walls by former female
inmates: a 19th century Persian woman, executed for unveiling herself; a Jewish
girl who escaped from the Nazis to a whorehouse; and fourteen women gunned down in
Montreal by Marc Lepine. These characters, 'the daughters of Sheherzad',
discover that if
they can learn to tell their own stories, they will go on to live and thrive.
